Shooting the boathouse

Writer's picture: David EastwellDavid Eastwell

This has been my Everest for a while now. Its the most gorgeous and photogenic part of Perth so I wanted to do it justice. Luckily for me it was a little bit windy on the day, so with the ND and Skylight filers in hand I had a crack at it. Only 2 seconds 3 seconds of exposure on this one, and I think it has turned out great, with smoky water and some movement on the clouds. Im a bit mixed on super long exposures, I like to be able to make out the shapes of the clouds and water to give the image a realistic edge. I cant wait to get this one printed up and in the store. I think I may go back and do the same image at sunrise and sunset as well to create a little triplet of images.
